Scientific Research and Publications

As part of the VITALITY Project, the University of Teramo has carried out extensive applied and multidisciplinary research aimed at supporting the green and digital transition of the agri-food system. The research focused on strategic areas such as food biopreservation, valorization of agro-industrial by-products, traceability and advanced diagnostics, and the development of new sustainable nutritional models.

The activities were structured into key milestones, including “Sustainable Food Innovation”, “Nutritional Bioengineering”, “Circular Economy and Food Waste”, and “AgroTech Data Integration”. These initiatives led to the production of peer-reviewed scientific articles, posters, conference papers, and contributions to national and international specialized journals.

All results, scientifically validated, were shared with the scientific community and industry stakeholders, contributing to the strategic positioning of the university in sustainable agri-food research.
